Terms of Service
Last updated: June 16, 2026
These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of Zoey, the family-calendar service at textzoey.ai (“Zoey,” “we,” “us,” or “our”). By creating an account or using Zoey, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use Zoey.
The service
Zoey helps families organize their schedule: it brings the calendars you connect into one place, texts you when new events appear so you can confirm them, and lets you create events by text. Zoey is in early access and is currently provided free of charge. We may add, change, or remove features over time.
Eligibility & your account
- You must be at least 18 years old and able to form a binding contract.
- You are responsible for the activity under your account and for keeping your login secure.
- A Zoey account represents a household, and more than one parent or guardian may be invited to it. You confirm you are authorized to add the family-member information you enter.
SMS / text messaging
Zoey is a text-message-based service. By adding a mobile number, you consent to receive recurring service text messages from Zoey at that number, such as new-event alerts and confirmations.
- Message and data rates may apply. Message frequency varies based on your activity.
- Reply STOP to opt out of messages at any time, or HELP for help.
- You confirm you are the owner or authorized user of any number you add, and that any other person whose number you add has consented to receive these messages.
Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Use Zoey for any unlawful purpose or in violation of these Terms.
- Add data you are not authorized to provide, or that infringes others' rights.
- Attempt to disrupt, reverse-engineer, overload, or gain unauthorized access to the service.
- Use Zoey to send spam or unwanted messages to others.
Third-party services
Zoey works with third-party services you choose to connect or that we use to operate, including Google Calendar and Twilio. Your use of those services is also governed by their own terms and privacy policies. Zoey is not responsible for third-party services.
Your content
You retain ownership of the information you provide and the calendars you connect. You grant Zoey the limited rights needed to store and process that information solely to operate the service for you, as described in our Privacy Policy.
Disclaimers
Zoey is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied. We do not guarantee that every event will be captured, that messages will always be delivered, or that the service will be uninterrupted or error-free. Zoey is an organizational tool and is not a medical, emergency, or professional-advice service; do not rely on it for medical or time-critical decisions.
Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Zoey and its operators will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of data, arising from your use of (or inability to use) the service. Our total liability for any claim relating to the service will not exceed the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim (which, during free early access, is zero).
Termination
You may stop using Zoey and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate access if you violate these Terms or to protect the service or other users. You can request deletion of your data as described in the Privacy Policy.
Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we will update the date above and, where appropriate, notify you. Continued use after changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms.
Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of New York, USA, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules.
